Washington Friends of Music, a not for profit organization located in Washington, CT, hosts an annual summer festival series at the First Congregational Church Historic Meeting House on the Washington Green and a New Year's Day Concert at the Thomas S. Perakos Arts and Community Center at The Frederick Gunn School
Our Artistic Director, Michael Volpert, has extensive experience curating concerts featuring both well known and obscure composers and is also the Artistic Director of the critically acclaimed Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players in New York City and Director of Artistic Planning for Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, also located in New York City. Michael brings world class performers to our community.
A hallmark of our concerts is that the performers share insight about the music they’re about to play followed by an opportunity for the audience to meet and mingle during the post concert recpetion.
